Synopsis for "Battery, Part One"

A child is lost in what appears to be a subway station. Superman comes in, picks her up, and helps her find her mother. We then see a soldier asking several reporters for Clark Kent. He stumbles in blaming a hold up with security and is told to get in a helicopter. The Daily Planet has drawn the straw for a ride along with SCU, a military style police force.

Meanwhile, Lois gets a lead on a story suggesting that the US is preparing to invade the country Umec. Perry agrees to send Lois in alone so that the military can not alter or dilute the story.

Back with Clark, during the ride along a report comes in about a disturbance. Clark uses his super hearing to pick up on the radio call to the SCU. Clark pretends to fall out of the chopper, making sure the pilot sees him land on a soft padding before changing in to his Superman clothes. Superman attacks the villain that he heard about over the radio, Replikon.

Superman and Replikon slug it out for a while. Superman eventually overpowers Replikon, but is surprised to find a man inside of the robot. The man begs Superman to help him just before the person controlling Replikon eliminates him.
