Synopsis for "Action Detectives Part One: Bad Guise"

In Metropolis, Robin fights a bronze Superman statue that has come to life and reluctantly requests help from Superboy, who is watching and eating popcorn. While Jon keeps the statue occupied, Damian tracks the signal controlling it to a nearby building, where he finds and easily subdues The Puppeteer. He confiscates the miniature version of the statue the villain was using to control it, and makes the statue take a few more swings at Jon before breaking the miniature to free himself from the temptation to abuse it further.

In a spaceship just outside the orbit of the Moon, a mysterious figure observes the battle and plots the death of the Super Sons.

After arresting the Puppeteer, Jon and Damian rush off to their last day at the West-Reeve School before summer vacation. While Jon and the other kids celebrate, Damian tries to argue his teacher into giving him extra credit for a long and abstruse essay on the philosophy of physics he wrote for a recent exam. Their classmate Georgia invites them to a pool party, but Damian explains that he and Jon will be otherwise occupied during the summer.

At their newly-repaired headquarters, the boys make some final upgrades and revel in the prospect of a summer with little parental supervision (which, to Damian's annoyance, Jon incessantly refers to as the "Summer of Super"). They head to the Mall of Metropolis to confront a monster who is terrorizing the populace, but are ambushed by his allies, a group of alien children imitating Earth villains who call themselves the Gang. Kid Deadshot shoots a device into Robin's chest which wraps the young hero in constricting bandages, and the Gang's leader, Rex Luthor, reveals that he knows Jon and Damian's secret identities. Rex uses a box of Gold Kryptonite to drain Jon's powers, then attacks him with a powered gauntlet
