Aella is one of the Amazons of Themyscira. She is a high ranking general, noted for her hard line views against Men's World and the Bana-Mighdall. She was a major player in the Themysciran Civil War, which she did not survive.

Aella is named after the mythical Amazon of the same name. She was first adapted into DC Comics by Greg Potter and George Pérez, first appearing in Wonder Woman (Volume 2) #1 (1987).
