Akila is a Bana warrior who served as their champion, Shim'Tar.
History
A smart young woman, Akila ventured outside the city to follow an education in Man's World. She used her knowledge to make modifications to the armor. She was always more a scholar than a warrior but did aid Wonder Woman in her fight against Abu-Gita.
During the civil war on Themyscira, Akila relinquished the armor and title to Artemis, who was better suited to the tasks at hand.[1]
