History
When Simon Stagg discovered that his dauther's son, Joey inherited his father, Metamorpho's power, he hired Dr. Magnus to train the child to use his powers to produce a lucrative new type of fuel at Stagg Industries Headquarters in Akron. Discovering this, Metamorpho lashed out, Green Lantern and the Metal Men attempting to stop him.
The scuffle came to an abrupt end when Joey was thrown from his crib, caught by Java, who began melting from the child's powers. Metamorpho and Sapphire, immune to the baby's powers, quickly took him back. Simon Stagg discovered that he had the same immunity and resolved to care for the child like family.[1]
In 2036, a videocast called "Puppy Slaps" films out of Akron, garnering views across the internet. Senator Tom Downey guest stars to try winning over Ohio for re-election.[2]
