Alan Scott was the hero known as Green Lantern.
History
Very little has been revealed about his specific background other than he was a formidable presence in the Justice Society of America of his source Earth but is not a member of its successor group Justice Society Infinity. It is presently unclear if he had a falling out with the successor group as did Jason Garrick, Dr. Fate and Spectre or merely retired.
Scott was revealed to have died sometime ago when his daughter Jade met the New Earth Alan Scott and both were surprised to see each other alive.[1]
Notes
- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the Post-Infinite Crisis Earth-2. It is an adaptation of Alan Scott/Green Lantern. The original character was created by Bill Finger and Martin Nodell and first appeared in All-American Comics #16.
- This character is intended by at least one of the creators to be a continuation of the Pre-Crisis character of the same name.[2]
- This was changed in that the Earth-2 Scott was killed from the time of his introduction in 52 #52 along with other changes for this reality from the original planning.
