Albert Lord is Maxwell Lord's father.
History
A CEO for a pharmaceutical company, his company went bankrupt after a weight loss drug they sold was revealed to cause cancer, leading Albert to commit suicide. His wife posthumously told their son how weak a man Albert was, a factor that lead to Maxwell's nefarious tendencies as an adult.

- Maxwell Lord was created by Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, and Tim Seeley, first appearing in Justice League America #53. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Maxwell Lord first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Justice League (Volume 3) #12 by Christian Duce.
