Aldar was an alien imprisoned in the Phantom Zone.
History
Aldar was apprehended by the Martian Manhunter and banished to the Phantom Zone by Jor-El.[1] Decades later, he was accidentally released when Clark Kent opened the gateway.[2]
Aldar landed in Seattle, Washington, and started consuming an entire crew of a ship docked at the harbor. He would rip open the flesh of the victims, tear out all the bones and suck out the bone marrow.
Aldar was eventually confronted by Clark Kent, who tried and failed to send Aldar back to the Phantom Zone. During their second encounter, Aldar nearly killed Clark, but was himself killed by the Martian Manhunter before he could kill Clark.[3]
