Alejandro Sanchez was the third hero to don the name, Firebrand. He fought against evil in New York City.

History

A terrible accident traumatized New York City detective Alex Sanchez physically and mentally. His will to live was rekindled by wealthy Noah Hightower, who outfitted Alex with armor that turned him into Firebrand. Firebrand died in an underground gladiatorial game run by the villainess Roulette. Injected with drugs, Firebrand fought a drugged-up Checkmate-Knight to a standstill. Firebrand died in the arena, and the new Firebrand Andre Twist has since taken his place.
