Aleph is ruled by a governmental body called the Council. When the citizens of Aleph learned that one of their own, Zoe Saugin, acquired the ability to manipulate and restructure inanimate objects, they considered her an aberration of nature. She took the name Kinetix to match her Telekenetic powers.

When the Council introduced Kinetix to the Legion of Super-Heroes as their planet's representative, they assured the Legionnaires that they did not agree with that sentiment. The truth of their words is suspect.
