History
Alexander Luthor is a long-time enemy of Superman and the Justice League, as well as a founding member of the Legion of Doom.
After several failed attempts to destroy the Justice League, Lex Luthor came up with the idea to dress up as ghosts. This way, the League didn't know who their attackers were and were unable to defend themselves efficiently before Brainiac miniaturized them and trapped in a bottle. Lex's scheme failed, though, due to the interference of Mystery, Inc., who found and set the Leaguers free. Luthor decided to move on to his backup plan and blast the Leaguers with a new weapon he had just developed, but Supergirl crushed his gun, and Luthor was arrested.
