Alex DeWitt was a former girlfriend of Kyle Rayner.
History
Alex was deeply in love with Kyle, considering him the first good boyfriend in a string of bad choices. When he was chosen by Ganthet as a Green Lantern, she supported him and tought him to embrace his destiny. With her at his side, he felt invincible. However, his enemies paid attention and she was murdered, which scarred Kyle for the rest of his career.[1]

- Alex DeWitt was created by Ron Marz, Bill Willingham, and Darryl Banks, first appearing in Green Lantern (Volume 3) #48. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Alex DeWitt first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Green Lantern: New Guardians #13 by Tony Bedard, Andrei Bressan, and Amilcar Pinna.
