Some Alien Parasites from unknown origin were stuck in the Kawatche Caves in Smallville.
History
During a rave at the Kawatche Caves, Pete Ross and Chloe Sullivan were infected by a parasite, which induces an excessive production of adrenaline and makes the host uninhibited and increasingly impulsive. However, Clark Kent eventually managed to defeat the creature and save his friends.[1]
Lex Luthor later sent his group of scientists into the cave and retrieved some parasites to be studied at Cadmus Labs in Metropolis. Some time later, a scientist working for Luthor extracted some enzymes from the Parasites at the Kawatche Caves. He tests it on a lab monkey named Lester, who breaks free and run away.[1][2]

Notes
- The Nicodemus Flower from the episode "Nicodemus" induces similar effects on people.
- Since the parasites were in the Kawatche Caves, they may be Kryptonian in origin.
- This parasite is apparently unrelated to Rudy Jones, another villain who appeared in season 8 using the name Parasite.[3]
