Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Professor Nobody"

A brilliant but forgetful research scientist (the other characters never even learn his name because he can't remember it) takes a "ride" in Doiby's hack, accidentally leaving behind an important part of an apparatus he's developing for gangster Gunner Garr. Ironically he's so forgetful he just got in and got out again because he'd forgotten they hadn't gone anywhere.

After Green Lantern gets involved and scuffles a bit with Garr and his gang the scientist remembers what his machine does: it gives a subject a perfect memory. Green Lantern realizes that would make Garr unable to forget safe combinations or top secret plans. They pry Doiby out of the machine, but because he fell into it without the last important part having been installed, his memory's turned as bad as the scientist's.

Big Shot Barnes has recently broken jail, but lost a lot of face in the underworld after Dr. McNider published the story of how his alter ego captured the gangster. He sets out to get revenge. During the attack on McNider's home he changes to Dr. Mid-Nite but he and Myra are captured and taken aboard a plane, where she's forced to sign a fake confession that Dr. McNider was afraid that Dr. Mid-Nite was hunting him down. The gangsters throw Dr. Mid-Nite out of the plane with the fake confession attached to his body, but he manages to climb back inside and mop them up. The Black Pirate finally convinces the three brothers to lower their tariffs .. so that many merchants will want to bring merchandise to Egypt.
