Synopsis for Green Lantern: "Nest of Terror"

Alan Scott goes on vacation to the country with Streak, and since animals aren't allowed in the passenger cars, he stoically rides in the baggage car with his dog instead. Alan hires local Smitty as a guide, and she agrees to take him to good fishing territory after forgiving Scott for his city slicker chauvanism. While on their excursion there's a sudden flood when a beaver dam breaks, but Alan switches to his Green Lantern duds in the flood and saves Streak and the unconscious Smitty. A masked mountain man proves to have sabotaged the dam on purpose and knocks out Green Lantern with an axe whose handle is specially balanced to fly like a boomerang. Streak tracks Smitty to an eagle's nest, where Lantern finds a wrapper from a 50-year-old robbery where the loot was never recovered.

Lantern flies to the prison where the only survivor of the gang who performed the robbery is incarcerated, only to find him murdered. However Streak tips Green Lantern off to a suspicious guard, who Lantern catches trying to blow up a building to unearth the rest of the loot. The guard had won the old prisoner's confidence to find out where the loot was, and he was the masked man who'd attacked Green Lantern out in the mountains.
