Synopsis for "The Tale of the Three Wishes!"

Convict Charley Lucas is given a Tibetan statue by his cellmate. Supposedly it has the power to grant its owner three wishes, and the cellmate's already had his, so he's passing it on. Charley wishes to be out of jail first, and the warden's secretary accidentally switches a list of cons eligible for parole with another of inmates scheduled for solitary, getting Charley his release. For his second wish he asks for a mob for his own to run, and decides to give himself a new impressive name to mark his gangland career: Champ Connors. Little does Charley know there's already a notorious gang boss named Champ Connors on his way into town to help the local underworld take on the Flash, but his train crashes and he's killed in the wreck.

When he checks into a hotel, some gangsters there to meet the real Champ Connors mistake Charley for the criminal genius and agree to work for him. He proposes they rob a party where an heiress is exhibiting her rare book collection, but Jay and Joan are attending. Using his speed, Jay's able to change into costume and round up the men in the main room before going into the library and catching Charley and the others there grabbing the actual loot. Charley slips away, but the Flash easily catches up to him. Using his last wish, Charlie wishes to be somewhere the Flash will never bother him. He gets it, whether the idol ever had magic powers or not, when the Flash crashes his getaway car into the wall of the state prison and catapults Charley inside.

Synopsis for "The Matching Men From Mars!"

A spaceship from Mars lands on a rooftop, and its passengers obliterate the police when they try to intervene. They manage to move fast enough to escape even from the Flash when he gets involved. However, in the aftermath, the Fasted Man Alive does find it suspicious the Martians looked exactly alike, spoke perfect English and knew exactly where to strike to purloin the city's wealth. When Joan makes an offhand remark about wanting to go see a 3-D movie, that tips Flash off to the clue he's been missing about the identity of the Martian invaders. Soon he receives a call about an entire Roman legion robbing an opera house, but forearmed now, Flash easily figures out they're only projected images and there's only real man getting away with the loot. He was the agent for the inventor of the 3-D technology, who killed him and took the technology because making lifelike images of movies would've ruined his business.
