Synopsis for Justice Society of America: "$1,000,000 for War Orphans! Conclusion"
The Spectre, The Sandman, Doctor Fate, The Hawkman, The Atom, and The Hourman start arriving back at the Justice Society of America's headquarters, while some members arriving together are talking about their exploits. Each member finds Green Lantern to delivery their pledge. All the while Johnny Thunder casually returns hoping that the meeting will go on without him due to him not raising the money.
As the meeting begins Johnny Thunder quietly sneaks in and hides under the table hoping they forgot about him. Alan Scott calls the meeting to order and everyone hands over their share of the money. Alan counts the counts and realizes that they only have $700,000 and Johnny Thunder is not here with his promise. As Alan is counting the money his lantern ring begins to glow on the table accidently zapping Johnny Thunder from under the table. Johnny jumps up and each member crowds him asking for his share.
Johnny getting jumpy and jittery finally confesses and states he's broke and he is a complete failure. Each member then teases Johnny and calling him out if he should even be in Society. Then then call out his Thunderbolt and wonders why it didn't help.
Johnny says "Say you can't say that about my Thunderbolt. He's not much help financially but if he could help me he would I betcha! Gee...."
Having said the magic words "SAY YOU" Anything can happening now.
Johnny explains he couldn't ask them for help but only if the Honorary members Superman, Batman, and the Flash each showed up with $100,000 then they would have the million. Suddenly with a thunderbolt strike Superman, Batman, and The Flash appear out of nowhere with $100,000 each. Each stating all Johnny had to do was say the word and they would be there to uphold the reputation of the Justice Society and plus it's a worthy cause. Johnny in bewilderment can't understand how. And each told them that as soon as they heard they need the money it happened.
Hawkman moves the chairman Alan Scott to hold a motion to thank the three honorary members for the assistance and each member aggress.
Final word is thanking Superman, Batman and The Flash and stating the money was going to the children's organizations since they are a good cause. Serves as the PSA for the comic.
