Synopsis for "The Origin of the Shining Knight"

Shining Knight pursued a band of thugs and left them for the police to apprehend before he flew off with Winged Victory.

At Camelot in the Sixth Century, Queen Guinevere's cousin Sir Fallon appeared before her and King Arthur and died after revealing the ogre Blunderbore as his killer. Several of King Arthur's knights volunteered to avenge Sir Fallon and slay Blunderbore, but Sir Justin was chosen to do so.

Several days later, Sir Justin freed Merlin the Wizard from two highwaymen. As a token of gratitude, Merlin casted a spell that made Sir Justin's armor lighter, cooler, and shiny, as well as bulletproof, although the word "bullet" was still foreign to the knight. Then, Merlin enchanted Sir Justin's sword, making it invincible, and his steed, giving it wings.

Sir Justin continued on his journey until he encountered and fought Blunderbore, but was defeated when the ogre kicked him and his steed off of a mountain and into water, where they both froze. Centuries later, an iceberg that carried them both drifted southwards to New England in 1941, where they broke free and were discovered by Dr. Moresby, who revealed that he had disappeared for a long time.

Moresby took Sir Justin to a museum, where he bathed and housed him and gave him new clothes and food. Later, Moresby showed the knight how technology had evolved since the latter's disappearance, then showed him a jewel from King Arthur's crown. When Eve Barclay entered, searching for her father, Dr. Moresby introduced Sir Justin as his new assistant, Justin Arthur.

As Justin and Moresby conversed, three thugs entered and robbed the museum and attacked the latter before fleeing. Justin got into his knight armor, fought the thugs, and chased them away. Sir Justin caught up with them on Winged Victory, crashing his steed into their car. Then, the police and Sir Justin took the thugs back to the museum with stolen artifacts. Dr. Moresby referred to Sir Justin as the Shining Knight, while the latter briefly revealed his origin to Eve before flying away with Winged Victory.
