Notes

  • This issue is reprinted in:
  • In this issue, Superman accomplishes the following Super-Feat: he returns from the Underverse.
  • Superman refers to the Justice League this issue in the past tense, suggesting that in the world of All-Star Superman they died or disbanded some time ago. This has been corroborated by writer Grant Morrison, who noted in an interview "It's clear from the references that (Superman) has or more likely has had a few super–powered allies, but that they're no longer around or relevant any more."[1] The sole apparent exception is Batman, who Superman notes having had a recent team-up with in issue two.
