Dr. Krud was a kidnapper and an enemy of Quicksilver.
History
Dr. Krud obtained a specimen of ape man from the "lost world" in the Amazon jungle for his laboratory and trained him to do his bidding. He used Monk for a kidnapping but it went wrong and Dr. Krud was sent to jail.
Dr. Krud's lawyer Murdock snuck a gas pencil into the jail and Dr. Krud used it to escape. Krud immediately visited Monk and planned the kidnapping of Connie Carlyle, the hostess at a gala masquerade party. While hiding in Oakwood Park Quicksilver spotted Monk and thought he was in costume. When he approached the ape man he discovered that he was real and was knocked unconscious after being thrown. When Monk interrupted the party he grabbed Carlyle violently, causing her to faint. While Monk was carrying Carlyle through Oakwood Park Quicksilver spotted them after waking up and punched Monk, allowing Carlyle to stab him with her costume's sword. Monk left a trail of blood to Krud's hideout before dying and Quicksilver disarmed Krud with a punch.
Notes
- This version of Aloysius Krud, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–1986 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the 2022-2023 Dark Crisis event. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
