- Alvin Rusch was created by Dan Jolley and ChrisCross, first appearing in Firestorm (Volume 3) #1. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Alvin Rusch first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Fury of Firestorm: The Nuclear Men #1 by Gail Simone, Ethan Van Sciver, and Yildiray Cinar.
