- Amalak was created by Jim Shooter and Wayne Boring, first appearing in Superman #190. However, in the Prime Earth continuity, Amalak first appeared as part of the New 52 DC Universe in Power Girl (Volume 3) #1 by Leah Williams and Eduardo Pansica.
