- "Jonah Hex" was created for a parody comic called Zany that was never produced.
- As a parody story, it probably is set on Earth-Twelve, but that has not been confirmed.
- "The Gnark Is Coming! The Gnark Is Coming!" was apparently created for Plop! but not used.
- "Friendship! (Sugar-Style)" and "Spike Vs. the Football!" are Sugar and Spike stories created for foreign markets after the US Sugar and Spike comic was canceled. This is its first US publication for both.
- The back cover is an image by Wally Wood that may have been intended as a cover for Plop!
