Amnesty Bay is a small coastal town located in Maine. It was home to Tom Curry, a local lighthouse keeper. It was along the coast he discovered a young blonde boy swimming in the ocean. He adopted the boy and named him Arthur Curry and raised him at his home, the Curry Lighthouse.
Points of Interest
- The Curry Lighthouse was created in Adventure Comics #260 (1959), though the town near it was not named until Blackest Night #2 (2009). The lighthouse was located in Maine in Aquaman (Volume 2) #2 (1986), and Amnesty Bay is explicitly placed in Maine in Aquaman (Volume 7). The DC Rebirth series Aquaman (Volume 8) places it in Massachusetts instead.
