Throughout his life, Amos Fortune didn't put any effort in his pursuits. He believed; however, that his lack of success was actually due to bad luck.

History

Just My Luck

In response, he created the Stimoluck, a device that manipulates probability. He first tested his gadget at his niece's skateboard tournament, sabotaging her opponents' tricks. After a successful experiment, Amos created his Stimoluck Cannon. His cannon allowed him to give bad luck to every individual in the city. The Super Friends and a group of civilians opposed his scheme and were able to knock the Stimoluck out of his hand. It ended up in the possession of his niece, who used it to destroy it's more powerful counterpart.

Imp-Possible!

He later created the Royal Flush Gang, a criminal organization with a card motif under the alias Ace of Spades. During a confrontation with the Super Friends, the battle kept being interrupted by Bat-Mite. This created a cycle of the gang being captured and then escaping, but the Super Friends succeeded in the end.

All I want for Christmas

Amos Fortune developed a device that gave people temporary amnesia. Under the codename Mister Memory, Amos broke into the Super Friends Satellite and blocked the Super Friends' memories. He came across the trophy room and was confronted by a visitor: Ellie Tavares. Using the equipment of Kanjar Ro, she was able to incapacitate him, with him being frozen by the Gamma Gong.
