Power is a drug. It's addictive. And I'm better off without it!

Anarky (Volume 2) #3 is an issue of the series Anarky (Volume 2) with a cover date of July, 1999.
Synopsis for "Aberration Part Three"
Green Lantern is about to reclaim the stolen power ring from Anarky's unconscious body when Max interrupts him, threatening to teleport Anarky away and warning about the Aberration. After Ryne confirms the Aberration's existence and Anarky awakens, Kyle apologizes to him and they fly off to hunt down the Aberration.
The two heroes attempt to contain the monster, but it counterattacks and escapes, reanimating the dead in Arlington Cemetery and attacking a diplomatic reception at the Curtis-Lee Mansion. The Aberration distorts space and time, sending the heroes and the reception attendees into the nightmarish future where it has succeeded in fully warping reality into something incomprehensible. At Max's suggestion, Anarky and Green Lantern use their rings to enlarge the Planck length to one centimeter so they can directly modify the fabric of reality. This successfully returns them to the present, but the Aberration remains.
Using all their strength and willpower, they blast the monster, erasing it from existence. Kyle demands the ring once more; Anarky tells Max to teleport him away so he can continue using it for his own purposes, but Max refuses, fearing that its power is corrupting him. At this point they realize that Anarky's ring vanished when the Aberration was destroyed, and they part amicably.
Back at his base under the Washington Monument, Anarky tries to tell the JLA that the situation has been resolved, but they aren't taking his calls and they've tightened up their security. Max then tells him that his biological mother was a showgirl named Linda Penman, and the he should see the identity of his biological father for himself. He looks at the printout and reacts with horror.
