Tony Mantegna was a member of the second team called the Secret Six.

History

Mantegna was an investigative journalist for Peephole Magazine. He was working on uncovering corruption in a mine workers' union when he was caught in an explosion staged to look like an accident. He lost his hearing as a result.

Mockingbird recruited him and five others to the second Secret Six. He gave them all mechanical devices that they could use to overcome their handicaps. Mantegna was given a headset that restored his hearing. They followed Mockingbird's orders or he would take the devices away, but secretly, the team investigated what happened to the first Secret Six.
