Anthro was an ongoing series by creator Howie Post started in 1968 and lasting for only six issues. Taking place entirely in the prehistoric era, it told the story of the adventures of the first Cro-Magnon man in his young life. This title was launched after Anthro's trial appearance in Showcase #74 and continuing directly from that plot. Although the Showcase-spinoff was cancelled, the character would go on to make appearances in other books, his next one would be an introduction to many other characters in the DC Universe in Showcase #100.
