Aqualad (disambiguation)

Aqualad, also known as Garth is Aquaman's teenage sidekick. As an adult he took the name Tempest. He is a member of the Aquaman Family along with other side-kicks including Aquagirl and Dolphin. His powers include hydrokinesis, super-strength, invulnerability, and the ability to survive underwater at any depth possible. These are natural as an amphibious humanoid hybrid, allowing him to live in the underwater city of Atlantis. In addition, he is one of the most powerful magic users in the DC Universe. Garth is a founding member of the Teen Titans, and he is formerly a member of the Sentinels of Magic and the Black Lantern Corps. Garth was killed during Blackest Night and reanimated as a zombie before his body was destroyed. Jackson Hyde became his successor during the events of Brightest Day. Aqualad was created by Robert Bernstein and Ramona Fradon, and first appeared in Adventure Comics #269 (1960). His Tempest incarnation was created by Phil Jimenez, first appearing in Tempest #2.
