Synopsis for "Aquaman/Green Arrow: Deep Target, Part 7"

Green Arrow is captured by the Atlantean Guard and imprisoned in The Aquarium, Atlantis' maximum secrity prison. Aquaman visits him and apologises, telling him that he cannot allow Oliver to restore the timeline to the way it was, because in this new timeline he, Atlanna and Orm are a family and he will not give that up.

Oliver tells Arthur that the past version of General Anderton escaped from prison and Scorpio is now more powerful than ever, and although his life may now be perfect, for many other it has gotten far worse. Arthur reluctantly agrees and, after saying goodbye to Atlanna he joins Oliver and the future version of General Anderton, who has joined them after Scorpio tried to kill him to tie up loose ends. They assault Scorpio's moonbase, where Aquaman fights the past version of Anderton, granted super-strength by drugs, while Green Arrow and the future Anderton break into the time travel lab.

Anderton and Green Arrow build "time bands" which will allow the wearers to be unaffected by changes to the timeline. Oliver gets the last time band to Arthur while Anderton travels back to the site of Scorpio's first "time stamp" and deativates the entire network, preventing Scorpio's time travel program from ever happening and erasing all the changes they made. With everything returned to normal, Aquaman and Green arrow return to Atlantis to visit Atlanna's tomb.

Notes

  • Final Issue.
  • In this comic, Arthur appears to believe that Atlanna is dead, when he learned in Aquaman (Volume 7) #36 that she is in fact alive. Due to this and other inconsistencies it is unclear where this comic fits into continuity or if it is set in the main timeline at all.
