Synopsis for "Book Three: Elegy For Speed And Storm"

Aquaman and the Flash fly into space in the Typhon-24, but the Voidsong destroy the unarmed ship and inertia carries them towards the giant Voidsong mothership/leader. Barry wakes up in simulation of his home with Iris, but the Voidsong keep Aquaman conscious. The illusory Iris asks Barry to stay with her, saying that he always choosing his work as the Flash over her. Meanwhile in reality the Voidsong leader offers Aquaman amnesty as one monarch to another, but he refuses and breaks through the wall of the chamber he is in. In the next room her finds Barry submerged in a pool of dark fluid and pulls him out. Barry forgives Arthur for tapping the Speed Force without his permission and Arthur reassures Barry that he is not a bad husband to Iris.

Barry realises that he can absorb the Speed Force energy from the creature and return it to Earth, but the massive surge would likely kill him. Arthur tells Barry to channel it through him and the Trident, as his greater durability will allow him to withstand it. Together they revive the planet and the Speed Force-enhanced heroes and villains destroy all the Voidsong ships around the world. The energy returns to Barry and destroys the mothership. Superman flies into orbit and rescues them just as they are about to run out of air and returns them to Earth.

The Justice League want to debrief the two immediately, but Aquaman insists that Barry has been through enough and insists that the League let him go home, saying he will tell them everything. Flash runs home and reunites with Iris. The next week, Arthur and Barry meet up in Central City for pizza, having apparently agreed to hang out together weekly.
