Synopsis for "Death of the Gods"

Several days ago, at a place known as the "Haven of the Divine Deep", sea gods who were pulled into The Blue by an event called the "Great Ebb", discuss what to do about Dagon. One of them named Ayujin, believes that Dagon is too powerful, but the others agree they can defeat him. Suddenly Dagon himself arrives and slaughters them.

In the present day, the Nautilus is attacked by a sea monster. It doesn't respond to Aquaman's telepathy so he and Vivienne leave the submarine to fight it. The creature grasps and starts to crush the ship, and Arion casts a spell of darkness around the Nautilus to blind the creature so it lets go. Aquaman pushes the Nautilus away from the monster, swimming at top speed and outpacing it.

Later they reach the ruins of the Haven. They realise that Dagon has been there but it is the last place they can resupply before making the final push towards Atlantis. They go out into the city and Nemo leads them to a chamber where he can harvest the fuel rods the Nautilus needs. In the centre of the room on a plinth is a sealed bottle which Arion identifies as a "Cask of Capture", a magical artifact that can hold anything, and sense there is something inside the Gods wanted to keep contained. They are suddenly attacked by the reanimated corpses of the sea gods. Arthur fends them off but they keep coming relentlessly and Arion's magic is unable to banish whatever spell is animating them. In desperation he opens the cask and a stream of pure water erupts out. It surges around the room, hitting each of the gods and purging the infection from them, returning them to just corpses. To Aquaman's surprise, the water reforms into Zan, one of the Wonder Twins.
