Synopsis for "Sins of the Father"
The Ocean Master attacks the United Nations with a sea serpent and a squad of humanoid piranha creatures during the first session where Atlantis is a member state. He takes the new Atlantean ambassador hostage and the Aquamen quickly respond. Jackson remains outside to fight the serpent and Arthur goes inside to face Orm. As they fight, Orm tells Arthur that a new age has dawned for Atlantis, and that the surface will fear them when they see that Atlantis "remembers".
In the suburbs of Bexley, Ohio, a man named Bob Moss calls in sick to work as he has a painful eye infection. On the TV he sees a news report of the attack on the UN and falls into a trance. He goes to a hardware store and buys supplies, seemingly oblivious to the world around him and muttering to himself in Atlantean.
Meanwhile in Paris, Black Manta is eating at a restaurant and scans a man named Jonas Martin at the next table for Atlantean DNA. His scans are inconclusive, detecting both the presence and absence of Atlantean DNA. In a frenzy, Jonas attacks his wife while screaming in Atlantean, Manta restrains Jonas but he goes into cardiac arrest and dies. Manta takes Jonas's body and sends out a call to an unidentified contact, saying his cover is blown.
As Arthur and Orm duel on the floor of the UN, Arthur tells Orm that he can't win, but Orm tells him that what is coming is bigger than both of them. Orm's serpent and Jackson crash through the wall and Orm escapes. They chase him down and Jackson overpowers Orm while Arthur frees the serpent from his control. Orm is taken to prison and Arthur tries to talk to Jackson about the rage he displayed in the fight, but Jackson receives a call from Raven telling him that Black Manta was just seen murdering a man in Paris. Meanwhile in Ohio, Bob has constructed a bomb in his basement and detonates it when his wife Debra comes to check on him, saying "For Atlantis. We remember".
At a warehouse in Paris Black Manta performs an autopsy on Jonas, confirming he was an Atlantean. Jackson bursts in and attacks him but Arthur stops him, telling him that Black Manta is on their side.
