Arak Wind-Walker was a member of the Helix, enemies of Infinity Inc.

Arak Wind-Walker was one of six children, born to different parents, who developed metahuman powers while still in their mothers' wombs thanks to their mothers' exposure to an experimental mutagenic drug. This drug was created and administered by the rogue geneticist Dr. Amos Love, who chose to experiment on pregnant women who came to his unlicensed medical clinic due to their own incipient poverty. Once these six women had given birth, Dr. Love recognized the latent power within the infants and spirited them away, telling the mothers that their children had been stillborn. Love then took the six babies to a hidden location outside of Bakersfield, CA to raise as his own. As they matured, Love told them that their natural parents hadn't wanted them; having no evidence to the contrary, the children believed what Love had told them. (Two other women who were part of the same experiments broke away from Dr. Love, and raised their children on their own; one of these children was Yolanda Montez, the second Wildcat, and the other was Carcharo the Man Shark).

Arak and the other children grew to young adulthood with very little education on the subjects of right and wrong. At approximately this point, Love faked his own death and essentially abandoned his six charges to see what they would do if left on their own. Realizing that their unique powers could be used to gain riches, they adopted colorful costumes and, using the group name of Helix, began to commit crimes in the Los Angeles, CA area. These crimes were opposed by the members of the super-hero team Infinity Inc. Ultimately, the members of Helix were captured and taken into custody.

Due to their unfortunate upbringing, it was decided to make them wards of the state of California, and for the most part, they have been in that status ever since.

Arak Wind-Walker has the metahuman power to create focused hurricanes and/or tornadoes at will. He refers to this power as "manipulating the Panther winds." It is known that he is descended from the legendary hero Arak: Son of Thunder, but the precise details regarding his lineage have not yet been revealed.

Arak Wind-Walker kept a low profile since becoming a ward of the State of California, but eventually resurfaced operating as a super villain again, working for Prometheus. He was apparently killed by his own teammate, Penny Dreadful.
