A group of mysterious power brokers derived from an ancient Aztec king, though it has long since shed its origins. They are organized like a deck of playing cards, with the Diamonds in charge of finance, Clubs in politics, the Hearts manipulate emotions, and the Spades use violence when the other three don't succeed.[1] Operating mostly from the shadows, they occasionally saw their plans thwarted by the Justice League America.
