Johnny Nevada was the host of the popular late-night talk show The Midnight Show, sometimes called The Johnny Nevada Show.[3] His real name was Arnold Nadakowski.[2]

Johnny Nevada frequently interacted with Clark Kent and Lois Lane as an employee of the Galaxy Broadcasting System. Superman once impersonated Johnny on live TV to set up a plan to rescue him from a gang of kidnappers.[4]. On another occasion, a traumatic brain injury inflicted on a gig in Las Vegas awakened latent psychic powers in Nevada and temporarily transformed him into a rampaging sand-monster.[1] Once, Johnny elected to impersonate Superman at the wedding between a falsely reformed Lex Luthor and a brainwashed Lois Lane, in order to set Luthor up to reveal his plan to mesmerize Superman into publicly revealing his secret identity.[2] In spite of his resounding success and popularity, Johnny experienced severe anxiety whenever called upon to do a stand-up comedy routine, hanging on the fleeting moments between line delivery and audience reaction.[1] The Joker once mentioned watching his program to steal some of Nevada's gags.[5]
