Artemis is a name used by several characters in the DC Universe.
- Artemis was the name of the Greek Goddess of Hunt. She is one of the founding goddesses of the Amazons and the land of Themyscira.
- In Earth-One, Artemis of Themyscira was the first Wonder Woman, three thousand years ago. She was the best friend of Hippolyta, and a close second in the competition which decided who would be the next queen.
- Currently, the primary carrier of the name Artemis is an Amazon of Bana-Mighdall, a fearsome warrior who acts as an ally and sometimes antagonist to Wonder Woman.
- Artemis Crock, also known as Tigress, is the daughter of Paula Brooks and Sportsmaster, and a crossbow-wielding member of the Injustice Society. In the New 52, a character named Artemis, who bears a resemblance to the Young Justice version, appeared in the rebooted Teen Titans title, as a hostage of the group N.O.W.H.E.R.E..
- In the New Gods, Artemiz is the name of one member of the Female Furies from Apokolips.
- In the Wildstorm Universe, Artemis was a deadly warrior of the Coda Sisterhood.
- Mary Tuner, a former member of the Court of Owls also known under the names Talon and Strix, briefly became Artemis during the events of Gothtopia.
