Arthur Brown is a gameshow host on Earth-Prime who became a criminal known as Cluemaster. After he was arrested by the Crows, Brown spent five years in Blackgate, but he managed to escape in order to enact his revenge plan on Sophie Moore.
History
Arthur Brown was born in Gotham City where he became famous for hosting the gameshow, Quiz Bowl; he also had a daughter, Stephanie.
Years later, he was fired from the show after a dispute with the show producers. He went evil and adopted the alias of Cluemaster, beginning a killing spree which GCPD was not able to stop despite Brown leaving clues for each murder. Eventually, his daughter Stephanie, who was as smart as his father, anonymously helped the Crows solve Brown's puzzles which led the villain to be arrested by the agent Sophie Moore and sent to the Blackgate Penitentiary.
In the course of years, Brown plotted his revenge on Moore who had seemingly proven the only one to match his abilities and stop him.
In 2021, Cluemaster was able to escape his prison cell and met Stephanie who refused to help him in his revenge: Brown abducted her and used her as another piece of his plan. After covering her body with a code, Brown placed her in a glass box and left her to be found by Moore and her helpers, Ryan Wilder and Mary Hamilton. Moore was able to free the woman who began to work with them to discover his father's whereabouts: later, Ryan, Mary and Sophie fell into a gameshow-inspired trap which Cluemaster had previously left for them on the set of Quiz Bowl while Stephanie was able to decipher his code and track him to her childhood home. There, she revealed to him the truth about his imprisonment so Cluemaster knocked her unconscious, trapping her and himself in a car to die.
However, Luke Fox was able to find them and save both of them; Brown was arrested by the GCPD and sent again to Blackgate.
