Arthur Curry is the original Aquaman and father of Aquawoman.
History
Aquaman was a member of the Justice League during the last attack of the Hyperclan. As punishment, the League voted to banish the Martians to a parallel world of fire and ash. Arthur believed this was too cruel even for them, which lead to an argument between him and Mera.[1]
Arthur would eventually retire and pass the mantle of Aquaman on to his sidekick Jackson Hyde, who he would also entrust with the responsibility of training his daughter.[2]
Along with his wife and former protege, Arthur is currently in The Confluence, but regularly communicates with Andy. He is proud of his daughter but slightly overbearing and feels the need to offer help at every opportunity.[3]
