Arthur Curry, known also as Aquaman was a superhero and king of Atlantis. He died when humanity turned on its heroes.
History
When humanity was turned to evil by Lex Luthor's speech, they turned on the superheroes, forming a mob outside the Hall of Justice, where the heroes, including Aquaman, were discussing what to do. Batman, believing he could reason with the crowd, let them in. The mob proceeded to brutalize him first and then viciously killed many of the other heroes in the Hall, including Aquaman.[1]
