- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Super Friends and its tie-in comic book series: Super Friends (Volume 1), Super Powers (Volume 1), Super Powers (Volume 2) and Super Powers (Volume 3). It is an adaptation of Aquaman. The original character was created by Mort Weisinger and Paul Norris and first appeared in More Fun Comics #73.
- Aquaman was voiced by Norman Alden for the series produced from 1973 to 1977 and William Callaway for the series produced from 1978 to 1985.
