Athena is the goddess of wisdom, revered by the Amazons.
History
The eyes of Olympus have been upon Diana for ages. They were aware of her good deeds and her triumphs over the forces of evil. Athena pulled some strings and made them come to an agreement: Diana was going to become the goddess of truth. They sent Athena to the Watchtower to bring her the good news. However, there was a catch. Diana would need to leave Earth and the Justice League in order to claim her godhood. She accepted the offer, but H.I.V.E. was planning to destroy Metropolis with a dirty bomb and they needed to be stopped. Athena allowed Diana to complete one last mission, with her assistance. Once they were defeated, Athena witnessed firsthand how much of a greater asset Diana is to humanity by staying closer to them, so she let her be.[1]
