Bane once a former foe of Batman, now known as Omega, but is now his brainwashed servant.

In the days following humanity's turn to evil, a mob viciously maimed Batman. Now with his faith in humanity shattered, he killed Darkseid, discovered the Anti-Life Equation, and took the alias Omega. He then brainwashed his former rogues into becoming his servants, with Bane becoming one of his top men. He also was required to carry around Scarecrow on his back, as the latter lost his legs.[1]

Following Alfred allowing a clone of Bruce Wayne to leave into the wastelands, Bane and Scarecrow arrived to give Alfred his former master's offer of coming back to Gotham to become like them. However, Alfred pulled out a shotgun and blasted Bane to no avail, as the latter seemingly received regenerative powers. Bane stoically watched as Scarecrow gave Alfred a lethal amount of a toxin that created a happy fantasy where he convinced the Waynes to not see Zorro that night.

Afterwards, Bane and Scarecrow somehow followed the clone and the Joker to the Fortress of Solitude, where Scarecrow drugged Luthor's Superman clones to attack Bruce.[2]

Bane, alongside the other enforcers, were tasked with guarding J'onn J'onzz, who was the amplifier for the Equation. While the infiltrating Wonder Woman and Court of Owls were initially cloaked by a device created by Mad Hatter, the ruse was discovered and the neuro-wave the device relied on, broadcasted by Jim Gordon, was shut off, causing Bane and the others to attack.

The ensuing fight lasted until Omega was killed by his clone, causing Bane and his comrades to stop fighting. It is unclear what happened to them afterward.[3]

Powers

  • Venom Usage: It's implied that Bane now has Venom running in his veins, as his blood was green when Alfred shot him. Thus, he has all of its benefits permanently.
