Bane is a former member of the League of Shadows who still has many friends among its ranks. He is capable of matching Batman in both physical attributes and smarts, and can augment his strength even further with Venom.

History

For a time, it was believed that Bane had abducted Ra's al Ghul and was scheming to take over the League of Shadows, but it turned out to be an impostor who took over Bane's identity to try and find a Lazarus Pit

Some time later, Bane was summoned by Bat-Mite to a supervillain convention. He tried to fight the Batman Family once they arrived to stop the event, but it became hard to reach them due to the cramped space. During the comotion, Bane and Blockbuster ended up traded blows and knocked each other out with a single punch.
