Barbara Gordon held the secret identity of Batgirl and the public identity as a librarian of Gotham Library.
History
She kept this secret only to herself, until about a decade later when she finally revealed her identity to Batman and Robin. Beforehand she would appear whenever they needed her help. During this time, Barbara had a change of career from librarian to Assistant District Attorney, working alongside Commissioner Gordon. Batgirl had a motorcycle that she used to pursue criminal activity and aid her detective work alongside the Dynamic Duo. After she gained more trust from the Bat-Team, having been given access to more gadgets and communications devices. The 5th Dimensional being Bat-Mite developed a crush on Barbara which sometimes caused the imp to inadvertently hinder the plans of the Dynamic Duo.
