Baron Hoff was an enemy of Quicksilver.
History
Baron Hoff set fires in multiple buildings across the waterfront of Manhattan until the entire borough was ringed with flames as a distraction to rob a large bank. When a bank teller attempted to reach for a gun he was gunned down by Baron Hoff. Quicksilver stopped the fires and saw the hold-up from the roof of a neighboring building. He dodged Baron Hoff's shots but was hit over the head. A newsboy tackled Baron Hoff, allowing for Quicksilver to regain his composure and defeat him.

- This version of Baron Hoff, including all history and corresponding appearances, was erased from existence following the collapse of the original Multiverse in the 1985–1986 Crisis on Infinite Earths event and later restored following the rebirth of the infinite Multiverse during the 2022-2023 Dark Crisis event. Even though other versions of the character may have appeared, this information does not apply to those versions.
