The Bat-Train was a vehicle used by Batman and Robin.
History
It was constructed as a regular steam locomotive, but designed to resemble the various other already existing Bat-Vehicles. The Bat-symbol was placed on its boiler, and the Bat-shield on the front, partially forming the cowcatcher.
The train was built with public fundings and in collaboration between different cities in order to allow Batman to travel across the country, giving lectures about crime-fighting while taking his equipment along with him. During his cross-country journey, Batman and Robin stopped several crimes, some of which took place on the very same Bat-Train.[1]
Trivia
- Alfred jokingly referred to the possibility of a Bat-Train in the New 52 in Batman (Volume 2) #35.
- The Bat-Train also briefly appeared in Lego Batman: The Movie as a gag.
