Synopsis for "Bird of Prey"
An injured Tony Bressi frames Killer Moth and Firefly by having two henchmen attack Larry Lance's detective agency, which has been inherited by Captain Gordon's friend, Benny. There Gordon and Officer Jason Bard consult the private detective. Benny is killed, Bard is injured, and Gordon is abducted in revenge for his work exposing Bressi's corrupt cops in the Gotham City Police Department.
Batgirl hears about the attack on the radio of the Batcycle Robin gave her (unbeknownst to her, on Batman's orders) and drives over. She takes down her mask to ask Bard what happened, and he tells her Killer Moth and Firefly said they were taking Gordon to Bressi's greenhouse. Black Canary believes Batgirl is a sanctioned associate of Batman, and they join forces. They follow the fake Killer Moth and Firefly to Bressi's house while the real Killer Moth and Firefly see them from above and decide to follow them too.
Batgirl and Black Canary are captured when they arrive at Bressi's home, and they promise each other they'll never make this team-up a permanent thing.
