Synopsis for "The Lesson: Frogs, Snails & Puppy-Dog Tails..."
Middle class children in Gotham are being kidnapped and held for ransom, and Batgirl is assigned the case as her first mission from Batman Incorporated. Her first day of investigation goes poorly when she sleeps in and has to rush out the door. She encounters Robin, who has strung up the crossing guard at the school to interrogate him, and she learns that Robin isn't on the case and seemingly began investigating because Batgirl was.
Batgirl and Robin watch the school until the children are taken on a field trip to the Gotham Children's Museum. Because they can't see inside the museum, Batgirl convinces Robin to go undercover and blend in with the other children while she watches from the museum's security room (having knocked out the guard). Batgirl's fan Nell approaches Robin, who gives him name as “Bruce,” and drags him to play with her. Batgirl is upset that Robin doesn't know how to play.
Batgirl notices the bus driver get knocked out and tied up, and he is replaced by one of the kidnappers. Batgirl and Robin fight onto the hijacked bus, which nearly crashes when Robin takes the wheel, and they defeat the kidnappers, rescue the children, and discover the location of the children previously abducted. All the children are unharmed. Batgirl compliments Robin's work but says there is still a thing or two he can learn to help him in the field. She takes him to a moon bounce so he can learn how to have fun.
