Synopsis for "Batgirl Rising: Core Requirements, Part Three"

Robin refuses to work with Batgirl anymore and leaves her behind while he goes after Batman. Oracle, who is watching the feed, tells Batgirl she needs to get there quick because Batman is injured and Robin has no idea what he's up against. She directs Batgirl to the private garage beneath her apartment building, where she's been storing the Ricochet in case she ever needs to make a fast getaway. Batgirl speeds off, passing Robin by, while Oracle continues to break through Roulette's firewalls, trying to find out where she is.

Dr. Phosphorus has Batman by the neck when Robin crashes his motorcycle into him, jumping off at the last second, while Batgirl ejects from the Ricochet and jumps onto Roxy Rocket's rocket. They battle for control. Batgirl manages to crash it into Dr. Phosphorus as he fights Robin, and both Batgirl and Robin assist Batman against Riot. Robin covers them as Batgirl helps Batman away. When she sees that Robin is overwhelmed, she goes back to help him. Roulette decides it is time to escape, but before she can go anywhere, Oracle successfully tracks her down and she is stopped by Batgirl, Robin, and Batman.

At the Batcave, Steph and Damian watch from a distance as Barbara and Dick talk about them. Dick apologizes for what he said earlier, and they make peace regarding Steph's role as Batgirl. Steph receives a text from Francisco asking about her after she was shot protecting him. She looks on from above as he reunites with Jordanna and his boyfriend. He promises he is his own man now and his father can't talk him into anything like that again. Steph is disconcerted that the boy she liked is taken, but as she takes off in the Ricochet, she is ready for whatever comes next.

  • Barbara mentions that Roulette covers her tracks better than Hugo Strange did when he ran a similar operation. This is a reference to events during Battle for the Cowl.[1]
